Origins & Mythological Mishaps

The Beer is a legendary creature born entirely out of an ancient grammatical error. Centuries ago, an exhausted scribe working by candlelight made an erro while copying down a local tavern's warning regarding a "Bear with Antlers". By the time the ink dried, the local wizarding guild had already accepted the misspelled creature into the official bestiary. Evolutionary magic was forced to quickly manifest a hybrid beast to match the documentation.

Elven rangers have long noted that the Beer is a chaotic addition to the forest ecosystem. It frequently confuses traveling parties who arrive expecting a refreshing pint, only to find themselves face-to-face with an absolute unit of an apex predator rocking a full set of antlers.

Physical Traits & Quirks

The Antlers

A massive, branching crown made of pure bone. While traditional wilderness guides suggest they are used for territorial displays, modern diaper-changing dungeon masters know they serve as the ultimate multi-pronged drying rack for damp baby blankets.

The Roar

Deep, rumbling, and shockingly resonant. However, due to its mixed lineage, the Beer's roar occasionally cracks into a high-pitched elk bugle mid-vocalizations, entirely undermining its intimidation factor to passing goblins.

Dietary Hazards

Possesses an insatiable craving for wild berries and honeycombs. Because of its large paws and wide antlers, a Beer attempting to raid a beehive looks like a clumsy tavern brawler trying to delicate handle a tiny teacup—highly destructive and deeply undignified.

Tactical Advantage

Encountering a Beer requires an immediate Charisma saving throw. Their round, fluffy bodies make them look incredibly huggable, but their massive size makes them an absolute hazard.
