S is for Sasquatch: Free Colouring Page for Kids

Published on
A shaggy brown Sasquatch with big blue eyes and a gap-toothed grin peeks around a skinny tree it is hugging, on a little grassy island. Autumn leaves are stuck in its fur, its big bare feet poke out of the bushes, and a tree stump stands beside it.

Entry #19 · Spotted by the Bard

From Mike: I took a trip out to Wells Gray Provincial Park in BC and then to Revelstoke. Both are amazingly beautiful, and full of Sasquatch hide-and-seek merch. What better way to pay tribute to a great Canadian cryptid?

Where it comes from

The Sasquatch lives deep in the northern forests and is the best hide-and-seek player in the world. It isn't magic. It's just shy, and it has spent hundreds of years practising blurry poses for photos.

What to look for

  • The fur. Shaggy from head to toe, with autumn leaves stuck in it.
  • The feet. Enormous and bare, poking out of the bushes.
  • The face. Big, gentle eyes and a gap-toothed grin, peeking around a tree that is much too skinny to hide behind.

Party notes

  • The Bard: "I sat on a stump to tune my guitar. The tree next to it said 'shh.' It was not a tree."
  • The Barbarian: "I found it! I win! Can we play again?"

Colouring corner

  • Brown, grey or reddish fur. Then pick colours for the leaves: red, orange or yellow?
  • That skinny tree isn't hiding much. Draw more trees and bushes to help it out.

Mike's tip: Can you think of a way to hide something on the page? It can be our little secret.
