T is for Troll: Free Colouring Page for Kids

Published on
A tall green Troll in a yellow hard hat, a safety vest with reflective stripes and red fingerless work gloves stands on a small wooden bridge with rope railings. It has pointy ears, two little tusks and a very serious frown, and tufts of grass grow at the bridge posts.

Entry #20 · Spotted by the Paladin

From Mike: I like the idea of monsters with jobs. Monsters, Inc. was a good inspiration, but I think we could take it even further. So when we were building this out, I kept giving the monsters jobs. This guy feels like he should have a gruff builder accent or a New York attitude. Not sure yet.

Where it comes from

Old stories say Trolls live under bridges and make you pay to cross. The truth? They're bridge fixers. They live underneath because that's where the squeaky planks are, and the damp air is good for their skin.

What to look for

  • The gear. A hard hat, a safety vest and big red work gloves. Very official.
  • The face. Pointy ears, two small tusks and a frown that means business.
  • The bridge. Its pride and joy. Not one squeak allowed.

Party notes

  • The Paladin: "I thanked it for keeping the bridge safe. It blushed green."
  • Rory: "It asked for a bridge permit. I gave it a mushroom. That worked too."

Colouring corner

  • A bright yellow or orange helmet stands out against green skin.
  • Draw a river under the bridge, and add a fish or two.

Mike's tip: I think I forgot to add his mallet. Can you add one in for me?
